Oracle card reading spreads

Kuan Yin Oracle BLESSINGSOracle card reading spreads are used in a similar fashion to Tarot cards for readings, exploring one-self and divining the future.

Oracle cards are basically a divination tool used to gain insight. Generally the Oracle card deck will consist of cards, each with a different message and normally an image. Some cards will have a small message of keyword written on the card front.

More often than not the deck will come with a book that gives a deeper meaning or message behind the cards.

Oracle card reading spreads are used to convey messages what you need to know about a situation or guidance in moving forward.

Commonly oracle cards are referred to generically as angel cards, as they work purely with love and light.

There is no real evidence to support the history of Oracle cards, so when they became separate from tarot cards is not known.

Many feel they originated through the gypsies but there is insufficient evidence to confirm this.

One of the most popular decks of oracle cards is the Lenormand Oracle cards. These cards are named after famed fortune teller Madame Marie Anne Lenormand.

Evidence to support the history of Oracle cards suggests that oracle cards were in use in 19th century France and no one did more to promote them than Marie Anne Adelaide Lenormand.

Marie Anne Adelaide Lenormand (1772–1843) was a French professional fortune-teller of considerable fame during the Napoleonic era, she was orphaned at the age of five and educated in a convent school.

Marie Anne Adelaide Lenormand claimed to have acquired her first deck of cards when she was 14 from gypsies who taught her how to read them.

Marie Anne Lenormand had a long career as a fortune teller – through several French revolutions, and was imprisoned several times.

There are many different Oracle card decks in use today. Probably one of my favourite decks is the Kuan Yin Oracle deck by Alana Fairchild.

the Kuan Yin Oracle deck by Alana Fairchild is a 44 card Oracle deck inspired by the Buddhist Goddess of Mercy and Compassion, promoting the divine feminine.

Kuan Yin’s gentle energy and wisdom gently guides you to help you live an enlightened life.
